Role Overview:

At LumerAI, a Data and AI Solutions company in Cairo, we are seeking a dynamic and organized AI Project Manager to join our growing team. You will be responsible for steering our cutting-edge artificial intelligence projects from initial concept through to successful deployment. This role requires a unique blend of traditional project management discipline and a solid understanding of the machine learning lifecycle. You will act as the crucial link between our technical teams (data scientists, ML engineers, Software Engineers, and developers) and our business stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time and align with our strategic goals, all while navigating the unique challenges of AI development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of multiple AI/Software projects, from ideation and feasibility assessment to deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, defining scope, goals, timelines, and resource requirements in a highly iterative environment.
• Work closely with data scientists and ML engineers to facilitate agile development sprints, track progress, and proactively remove roadblocks.
• Serve as the primary point of communication, translating complex AI concepts and model performance metrics into clear business updates for non-technical stakeholders.
• Coordinate data acquisition, annotation, and management processes, ensuring the availability of high-quality data for model development and validation.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, especially those unique to AI, such as data availability, model performance uncertainty, and ethical considerations like bias.
• Define and track project success, ensuring that technical model performance metrics and translate into meaningful business outcomes.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in project management, preferably managing software or technology-driven projects.
• A minimum of 1 year of direct experience managing projects in the AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science domain is preferred.
• Strong understanding of the machine learning project lifecycle, including data exploration, experimentation, model evaluation, and deployment (MLOps).
• Proficiency with agile project management methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and associated tools (e.g.,Odoo, Jira, Asana).
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to bridge the gap between technical and business teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive while managing the ambiguity inherent in R&D-focused projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
